How should we live today so that we shall share in God's tomorrow?
1 - Be centered in the Will of God.
2 - Be soft.
3 - Be willing and obedient.
4 - Be close.
When we become off center and focus on our own will and not pray for
God to teach us His Will, then we go off the road and are prone to
spiritual accidents. If we honestly pray to God, He will reveal to us
His Will. And, when we become centered in that Will, we will have a
wonderful peace come into our life.
Be soft. No better place to learn how to be soft than at the foot of Jesus cross. Do we realize what Jesus suffered in order for us to have a part in God's Kingdom? He did that for us. He had no sin, but He was willing to suffer so we could have hope of forgiveness and our sin being taken away. He bowed His head and died, no resistance to dying. His dying helps me to be soft.
Be willing and obedient. Those who are willing and quick to obey, their hearts are filled with joy each day.
Be close. We can live in the same house, attend the same meeting, convention, etc. But, unless we forget ourselves and live for others we shall not become close. We want to become close now to Jesus and to each other, then we shall become close for all eternity with Him."
